Chicago, IL -- August 8, 2007

At coat check at the Chicago Hisory Museum, reading Savage Inequalities, by Jonathan Kozol. It’s his brother’s book. What he’s learned so far—East St. Louis is in horrible conditions.

What he’s read recently--No More Prisons, by William Upski Wimsatt, which he said is pretty radical.

His own book? It’d be about Chicago--it’s gorgeous in its own dirty corrupt way. He’s lived here about eleven years now.
