New Orleans -- August 17, 2007

Reading Austin Leslie's Creole-Soul: New Orleans' Cooking With a Soulful Twist, by Austin A. Leslie and Marie Rudd Posey. She loves southern cooking.

Her favorite book of all time? She couldn’t think of one. She reads so much. Recently she read Cane River, by Lalita Tademy, which was set in Louisiana in the mid-1800s, about living during that time and how time evolved up to this point.

If she were to write her own book it’d be a children’s book, something fun, to teach them how to enjoy life while they’re still small.

Has a book ever helped her become closer to another person? All the time. At the telecommunications company she works at, she reads during her breaks and people are always asking her about what she’s reading and she recommends and shares books. With her family, too.

She reads mysteries, romance, old history.
