At the bus stop, reading An Army of Angels: A Novel of Joan of Arc, by Pamela Marcantel. Her favorite book of all time, which she yelled back at me as she was boarding the bus---Sting of the Bee, by Seth Mosely (I can't find this online--I might not have heard her right).After she got on, I realized, I could have just followed her and talked to her more…it’s not like I had anywhere else to go, but I was feeling oversensitive about respecting people’s personal space. Earlier, on my way to the bus stop, I had approached a parked car and asked the woman, after I had gotten her attention by waving, talking through the small gap of unrolled window if I could take her picture for my project she said she didn’t think so.
